Now, now fellas, these aren't full blown 686 drag bikes. Sams or my quad for that matter are not the prototype 686 that most build to be fast, includeing Craycraft.

Raptor are fast stock.I know i own one.2 of my friends own a 400ex.when my motor was stalk one of my frineds raced me with his ex.He has a r4 exhaust and jetted.Take off he took me about 10 yards and thats because i was doing a wheelir. His tires were barely off the ground. After i went by him i totally killed him.He was way behind.I had about 10-15 mph over him. Those things are tirds.I would like to rerace him know. Mine is know all tricked out a little bit.It will know be like a dodge viper racing a station wagon.

Dune me- I do not see many videos on the computer cause it takes FOREVER for them to load. Anyway i do not know of any complete 686 craycrafts out there. (california)I know of a couple that are well built. But as we all know rider/gearing and tires is a factor. Locally we have most of them running sub 5's in 300 feet. Last year DS mike showed up with a ds that had run a 4.8 and mopped up in the flat drags. Of course that was last year and this year things are different.

I will not be going to FSW3, can't find no bullet proof underware. Here are my predictions though:

1. Sparks- if he cares to even show up, i see no reason for him to though
2. who cares who comes in second. LOL

the FASTEST raptor ive ever saw was Ryan(RaptorRCR) CrayCraft 730...and i still think that there can be more done to his motor on that same bore to make it faster..i dont know the specs of his motor...as in porting,carbs,crank,rod,piston,cams...he could go bigger and better and be faster while hes doing it...im sure he has some good porting and prolly dual 39's....i dont know about his crank if he is stroked or not???i dont know his compression...or what cams he has...if Mark wanted to he could make that bike faster than Sparks bikes...there 686's are fast and yes i have beat them before but as they say those were there 1st generation 686's im sure they are majorly faster now...ive saw a Sparks690 run at Little Sahara before it was Red and Black did not impress me at all considering when my ds was a stage 1 on alky he couldnt pull from me at all...when Bob's son Chris was on gas i could take him but once he went to alky he was no where to be found...All the CrayCraft guys have done is been nice to me...if i ever had questions they answered them...I might now agree on everything they say but I have nothing against them...and why dont all of you Cali guys travel for once quit making us Texas ppl travel and yall come to the Aledo Trailer Park Nationals next year...hey Mark will it be at your new place next year in Sand????Meaner you missed a good riding day Sunday at the River...My Ds was the only Ds running at the end of the day LOL...i think Brandon toasted his piston w/the nos???it was blowing oil and smoke out the vent tube and slightly had much power...and then hoover7 his rectifier went out or something???

Is your DS back on gas? Tate I wasnt trying to start anything I just dont believe your 440 can run with a stage 3 DS. Youll have to prove it to me. We might all be at the river next sunday. Ive got to try to get the Banshee running good. That thing will not start cold. I have to pull it off and then its no prob. DS is still the same. Havent done anything to it and the Raptor is finally running right. Hows your DS compared to before when we used to run? Are you still getting rid of it?How much did the piston and porting help?

I read where assand was getting hammered on his on site by his fellow neighbors. He must need glasses. he will argue with a stop sign or a rock.

I have run against a few stage 3's. My old trinity 686 could not beat one. (44hp, dyno jet dyno)The short time i had the trinity no 400/440 ever beat me. Of couse lots has happened in the last few years.

My 440 will hand with MY ds the way IT is right now....its a stage 3 but on gas w/a stock carb...the piston and porting well i cant catch grip with my 10 paddle haulers very well LOL!!maybe that is b/c the sand was pretty wet...I had to start in 1st and all it did was spin...2nd still spinning...3rd for some reason it would jump sideways in a wheely and the tire pressure was perfect ...if i put my TM back on there and ALKY im sure i would see a big diff in power but its kinda starving for gas right now...I am selling my DS(4,000),Carb(prolly sold),CDI(prolly sold),Tach(prolly sold),and everything else goes with it prolly...With the carb, cdi, and tach and everything else i would prolly go for 4500 or something in that region...but i kinda got it promised to someone so i doubt i will....i want a new YFZ bad....if you know anyone that wants a ds that is in PERFECT condition tell me...the only thing wrong with it was tight valves...nothing got hurt when it caught on fire just a flame i guess...nothing hurt...i put me some baja lights on the front(not the baja ds650 lights)...its Yellow now...I think it looks pretty dang good!!i will get some pics prolly tomorrow...You know how i broke my head light and ive always had just a hole there..well i got a piece of black 300ex front fender plastic and pilled the whole in...it looks like my ds has sunglasses now LOL...

Well, I again will say. . . I am not getting in the middle of any arguments.

I agree with what has been posted about travel. I'll say it again. . . if you don't go on the road you don't win the Superbowl! Anyone can be the king of their sandlot but, take it on the road. I would like to see a mid-point showdown but, I don't know if there is any real good spot. I checked into Utah and it looks like Sand Mt., Utah is as much of a drive for you guys as Glamis is! I'm sorry but, I prefer to shoot up tall dunes rather than flat drags. Honestly, I am going to Glamis but, I am going for the Dune riding not for the Drag racing. I would like to see a true Craycraft competitor at Glamis this year but, doesn't sound like it will happen?

Mark, I think your projections for Sparks as the winner are probably accurate but, I am hopeful some turbo powered something will show up and take the trophy.

The last year has brought a lot of changes and for those expecting the competition to be the same as last year. . . think again! There will be more fast quads this year by far. I don't doubt that everyone that was there last year will be faster this year! That, is my prediction! If you are racing the same class as last year (stock bore or bolt-on), please move over to the baby hill. . . the big boys don't want to have to run you over. . . oh, and .. .I'm sorry. . . how can you live with that same slow bike!

Mark, I've seen you at Glamis (didn't see you race but, did see you're bike on the dyno) and I've seen AZ at Sand Mt., NV, Glamis and Gordon's Well. I don't think either of you could say the other isn't willing to travel. And, honestly until one of you is willing to travel I would rather not see you or AZ try to start something on the forums. It just plain bugs me! I know you both have probably started the trash talking at different times so. . . just please stop. . . whoever started it. . . just stop!
