If you like the feeling of light switch explosive power than go for a Banshee, for a more smooth power delevery the Raptor.

 

I have smoked many shees with my sparks690 so dont say shees will beat anything because thats bs

 

For a Dune only quad I would get a Banshee. I have both a Raptor and a Banshee and they are both nice but you stated that you have 4x4 quads that would be enough of a lug around 4 stroke fix for me. The Banshee can be modded to go as fast as you want and to accomidate your 250 lbs. IMHO.

 

I'am sure many of these Raptors like yours have smoked many shees but they will never have the light switch explosive power that is something only a 2 stroke can give.

 

thats why i got my yfz because its quicker than my raptor on trails but in the dunes there about the same the raptor is just faster but the yfz is quicker

 

After all the feedback it looks like I'm buying a Banshee! With the stupid RED/GREEN STICKER laws in California I'm going to try to find a 2002 or older one. Any years better than others, and what should I watch out for in buying an older Banshee?
