Or is it the second carb kicking in? Correct me if I am wrong, (which I usually am), but isn't one carb a primary, and the other like a secondary that is activated once the throttle goes past a certain point? Similar to a 4-barrel carb on a truck? They both aren't feeding fuel all the time are they? I have been wondering about this for some time, hopefully someone can set me straight.

i dont think the carbs are progressive - seems to me someone said that one carb feeds 2 intakes, the other feeds one.
i think you're just hitting the 'sweet spot' the powerband of the engine. mine does the same thing. what a rush!

A powerband isint a physical thing. Its just when a motor hits its sweet spot. Band just describes the RPM range it works in. On a fourstroke its caused by the cam reaching its sweet spot where it feeds the cylinder the most on a two stroke its when the pipe starts to work (They work like forced induction ie a turbo)
