Default Banshee Vs Sled

Hi, my friend have a 2001 Banshee with DG pipes/silencers, K&N filter and a dynojet kit. My other friend have a 1997 Polaris Wide Track LX. It has a 500 twin Liquid Cooled non-PV Engine in that sled.

Today, we dragracer. I was with my friend on the sled. The belt is slipping a little. The banshee have maxxis 4 snow on it. We started in front of him but it tooks him about 5 seconds to catch us up. We're never able to get ahead of him after that.

Finnaly, here is my question . I don't trust my friend with the banshee when he says the engine is stock. This summer, It was ported and the head was shaved. It blown up and he rebuilt it and it tooks a really long time. He putted back other cylinder on it. I don't trust him when he says that he haven't ported/shaved the new one.

Do you think it's normal that he won the drag or do you think there is some internal work in that shee?

Thanks

I dont know. Most snowmobiles, especially in the 500 CC range should wax a stock banshee. I would bet if you changed out the belt on the sled, it would be a different story.

It was on real hard snow thought. But that sled in kinda slow. Not a trail sled. Topping at 75 MPH.

My sled would wax it thats for sure, its really kind of sad the banshee beat it...but then again my sled has powervalves, unbelievable traction, and spot on clutching. But that still shouldnt have happend, with or without engine work......

The sled would be that shi*ty? The worse is that the guy is not able to get in 5Th gear since he has a stock rear sprocket and a 15T countershaft one

a polaris wide track 500 isnt a fast sled by any means, but should spank a piped banshee in the snow.
i went to a 500 ft grass drag and grudge raced a stock 600 polaris xcr tripple cylinder,i beat him for 400ft but after that he came by pretty quick, sounds like a slipping belt cost him alot of power!
