Raptor Starting

Default Raptor Starting

My Raptor is having some trouble starting with my new cam, piston,and head its like it turns over but it doesnt have enough power too start its kinda hard too explain can you please help maybe some of yall have had this problem

Default Raptor Starting

Are you sure the decompression mechanism is working properly? I've got a 12:1 JE in mine and it starts instantly. There was a bad batch of early Hotcams, did yours come with a decompression pin or did you use the original pin?

Theres a few people that have added the high comp. cams and had similar issues that your speaking of. They still turn over, but it just works the starter alittle harder. Seach around using the term "11:1" and "piston", and you should find a few hits on that. I'm sure some the guys will chime in too for ya though. i belive i still have the original decompression pin im not too sure im gonna have too call the guy that worked on my motor ubetrun you might have herd of him his name is Jim Carrol and ill try what you said flynbryan
