Hello everyone I'm new to atv's and am looking at buying my first one! I'm looking at the yamaha 400 or 450 anyone that can give me any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm looking for an all around vehicle for ice fishing, hunting, light yard work, trail riding, and something fairly fast. Also at a resonable price!! I'm leaning towards the 400 due to price and i don't think i will really need the diff-lock and low gear. But I'm not really sure having never owned one. I want the 4x4 due to living in Mass. and automatic just for convenience. Any info that anyone could provide on these would be great including OTD prices ( i'm not going to pay msrp.) I have a couple dealers within a half hour drive so i will haggle price, but I don't want to insult them either! Thanks again, and I look forward to riding SOON. Have a great new year. Dave

 

I've been looking more on-line and am leaning towards the 450.

 

I would get the 400 because its so much cheaper.
