Jetting a Wolf
Hey,
New to the board . Own an '04 black wolf that I am upgrading and sorry if the question was asked b4, but I did a search and couldn't find anything. But is it worth the money to jet a wolf after a K&N air filter and an aftermarket pipe is installed?
Thanks!

After a pipe and K&N filter, you will definately be running lean, not only will it keep you from getting your money's worth of performance from the parts you installed, a lean engine runs hot, and you could burn a valve or damage a piston if it gets too hot. Jets from the dealer are only 3 - 4 bucks, get a 1 and 2 size bigger, try the 2 size bigger, if it still runs good on the top end, and the plug looks good, you're set,if not, drop or raise the jet size to get that plug looking good. A properly jetted engine will make a lot more power, and run better and longer, you spent all that money on a pipe and filter, don't cheap out on a couple of bucks for a jet.
