Default Big Bear exhaust

I just purchased a 2004 Big Bear 400. I have a question for other owners of this ATV. The exhaust pipe on my machine glows cherry red where it attaches to the head. The dealer tells me this is normal. I have had 5 other bikes of various makes and none of them have exhibited this condition. It is very noticeable after dark. Is any one else experiencing this on their Big bears?

Sure, why not, just means you wont be needing you lights. I ride with a guy who has a 2003 big bear and his headers heat up quite nicley as well. Not sure why tho, the people around here say its normal as well.
