Default Cold seizing an engine sucks

Well comin back from McDonalds tonight, I raced my friends s10 up to about 90 mph down the road, and I didnt let my quad properly warm up before ripping on it. So I was cruzin about 85 and the engine LOCKED UP. So here I was tires hopping about to die, so I pulled in the clutch and rolled to a stop. I sat there for a minute in disbelief, then tried to kick the engine over, but the kick starter was locked. So I just jumped on it with all my weight, and it kicked over, started, but only ran on the right cylinder. The left was just back firing and shooting flames (probably looked awesome). But I took the left plug out, and the cylinder had ZERO compression, it wouldnt even blow my finger of the plug hole . So I emailed Tony Dutkass (spelling?) Racing and Im getting a new hone and rings, should this work? I dont have enough money for a new bore, only hone and rings. Has this EVER happened to anyone else? damnit..

ALWAYS let the quad properly warm up before getting on 'er.... Running it hard when it's cold causes hell on a motor, as you can see. Parts seem to be more expensive for making mistakes too....
