Default Used Banshee's and Rappy's

I have been recently considering buying a banshee, so I have checked out all the ads. Have you guys noticed that the rappy's are almost the same price stock-for-stock! I wonder which one??......

What type of riding are you gonna do? How big/old are you? What year Raptor?

Im going to be riding in the sand dunes, I am 16, 155. I know a lot about the banshee. My plan is still to get one, but seeing that the 2000 and 01 (bad tranny's, i know) are close in price. I was just wondering others thoughts on which quad, I plan on doing average customizing. Thanks

if you are gonna ride mainly dunes i would go with the shee. thats its best quality definetly. the rappy is good for trails and ok in the sand i would much rather have a shee in the sand than a rappy.

Steer clear of the 01' rappys. I really liked mine, but the money you save buying an 01' will be lost in the cost of replacing the tranny if you have to do so.(although some on here never have)

Definitly go with the Banshee it rips in the sand, and there are millions for add-on's for it. I got one last year and have added much to it so much that I am getting another one this year to race.

The Raptor isnt OK in the sand. Its great. The torque is amazing. But if your only going to be riding dunes theres no other replacment then the scary hit of the Banshee. Definately the shee if its only the sand.

Just for the record, no probs with my 01 raptor. I ride mostly in the dunes, and I know I give up a little bit to comparable (piped, jetted and k+n'd) banshee's, but not much. The rest of the time i'm riding in trails, rocks, and often at 2 stroke killing altitude where I KNOW i'm better off on my raptor.
But that's just me..
