YFZ shocks on Raptor

I appreciate that. I'm hoping I dont have to grind much. Lowering the front a little would be a good thing in my opinion. I have the rear linkage flipped already, it would be nice to match the front. I have NEVER hit anything with the front frame, but I do take off the swing skidpate fpr regular beatings

They work great. No they are not that much shorter. You do have to "massage" the shocks to get them to fit. They make the jumping alot better. trapland if you need any help let me know. I can tell you where to grind to get them to fit.

Flipping the rear linkage is easy to do.
You take the rear shock linkage...the part with the grease fitting on either end of the rear shock, and flip it left to right 180 degree's. You just unbolt the rear linkage, and turn that piece of the linkage over. It lowers the rear of the Raptor 2-3 inches. Very good mod. Very easy to do. Once you take it apart, you can easily figure it out. You flip it over clockwise and bolt it right back up. Very easy.

My new YFZ shocks should come tomorrow... Hope the high temp gets above zero soon. It sucks riding when its 10 below

What advantage is there to flipping the linkage and, lowering the back end? Does this hurt Jumping? I love to sky as far as possible.
I'd think w/ the rear end lowered, it would make you wheelie even more having the bike angled back.

You would only want to lower the back by flipping the linkage after you lower the front with either lowering kit block's, or shocks/a arms. The shorter YFZ shocks on the Raptor with the back linkage flipped would be right. Or install blaster shocks and flip the linkage.
BTW, let us know what the results are on the yfz shocks. Good or bad.

I have to disagree that you must lower the front along with the rear. Although that was my plan all along, I've run a year with stock height in front and lowered rear and its very usable. I hope the lower front is even better.
CaptBags: I felt no difference in wheelies with the linkage flipped.
An update. The YFZ shocks came today. Uncompressed they measure about the same as the stock raptor ones. Unless the raptor ones are frozen compressed (its 10 below again).
ClutchOlds: Without actually installing them, it looks like the bottom aluminum around the bushing may need to be reduced. Is that the deal? Does the top bushing need to be narrowed?

I put my YFZ shocks on my raptor today........
they are actually about 1/4" longer than the raptor shocks.......but they sag a little so it ends up sitting about the same height as it did stock......

I'll have to look for a set for my Raptor off ebay. If they are the similar height then they would look good on the Raptor even with the lowering kit.
The shocks would be kicked out, with rezzies. Couldn't look bad.
