YFZ 450 Plug came out of head - where the de-compressor on the bike goes!
My Buddy's Wife had a plug come out of the head on Her YFZ450. I looked at my YZ426 and the plug on the YFZ is where my de-compressor goes into the head. Since the cam has an auto-decompressor on the 450, Yamaha just puts a plug in there.
She told me the dealer has seen this before and usually tries to keep at least one in stock. When it comes off you will know since oil will splash off and hit the exhaust pipe and your bike will start to smoke.
Not trying to put down the YFZ. Just letting you know that you may want to pick up one of these plugs and keep it as a spare when you go for those extended weekend trips.
Curious, has anyone else had this occur?
