raptor decompression??

tring to get bike running. just wanted to make sure when you spread the weights open the the pin goes in. Looks like tahts the only way it could go but making sure. I puled my plunger out again and the hole in it was plugged with yamabond, dont ask me how but it was so hopefully that was the problem.

Good luck with puting your cam back in I took all the decompression system weights, pins, and springs off there just more parts that can tear up your motor u really only need them if yourre going to run a high compression motor.

NOT TRUE, you need those parts. It puts a lot more strain on your starter without the decompression mechanism. With a high compression motor, it just won't start.
I read your post earlier and wanted to respond but my short term memory is failing, I can't remember exactly when the pin retracts. There really is only one way to put it together. If you can open the weights with your fingers and they snap back without binding, it sounds right.

thanks everyone but i found the problem. It was like i said the yamabond plugging the hole up in the rod that goes in the cam. Now the only problem i have is that i believe i fried my relay tring to start it before. I even bought a new battery. I could not see it starting without the decompression. Mine would only turn over once then dead battery. I do have high compression too though.
