Well, you almost cant go wrong with it. Its reliable, fun, you can do anything with it. It will do 55-58mph stock and has decent acceleration. If thats not enough, you can make it fast enough that when other people see a 4x4 going that fast the hair stands up on the back of their necks hehehehe...because it has plenty of aftermarket parts to make it faster. You can absolutley do anything with a Wolverine that you want to.

I've gotta agree too! The Wolverine does everything I ask of it, and with the 25" Mud Lites, it goes through the mud that the Grizzly 660 and Polaris 700 twin I ride with do. Through the tight woods sections we ride through I walk away from the heavier quads. It's been an excellent quad so far and I'm looking forward to many years of riding with it.
If you get one I don't think you'll be unhappy with your decision.
Have a good one!

The wolverine is in need of an update bad!
Come on Yamaha!
Overall i think it is a great quad to the standards of five years ago but now i think its undersuspended , overweight, and underpowered.

A great all around quad, fairly light for a 4x4, add a Warn 424, and you have a much sportier ride, all engine mods and pipes from a Warrior will bolt right on, you can ride all day on a tank of gas, unlike a huge 600 + thirsty motor. Mine handles great on the trail, my son still has a hard time keeping up with me on his 300ex !!

Considering that it is one of the only two true sport utilities, I'd rate it kinda high. It could use an update including new plastic and a selectable 4x4 system. If Yamaha could add some cc's without adding weight then they should. I'd rather have a 350cc sport utility at around 480 lb instead of a 400cc+ at 540+ lbs. I'd give it a rating of "7".

the wolverine is a great quad. it has done everything i have asked of it and has been very reliable.
Its 4x4 ablility is good its pretty quick for its size and being a 4x4 and its known for its reliability.

Overall i think it is a great quad to the standards of five years ago but now i think its undersuspended , overweight, and underpowered
Undersuspended? hmmm it seems to have the highest travel rating in its class as well as others.
Heres tho one i dont understand, Overweight? IT IS the lightest 4x4 on the market! underpowerd maybe to turn big mud tires but if you stay with a light or close to stock tire youll be fine. It may not pull high gears on hills but its geared higher. Its about ground speed not gears, try taking a big bear and put it in first or second and match it with a wolvy and first or second and the wolvy will be faster
