Will the Raptor be California Green Sticker legal?
#2
As far as I know, it's only 2-strokes that are red stickered, so I don't see why the Raptor wouldn't get a green sticker being that it's a four-stroke. In fact, I can't think of any four-stroke quad made that isn't eligible for a green sticker. What I have noticed though, is that quads in CA have additional EGR devices and/or plumbing to prevent unburnt gases from being vented to the atmosphere. Let's just hope that CARB doesn't have any plans that would require us to have them smogged...

Well I know that the Yamaha YZ 400 dirt bike is not legal as well as a few others. check out this site

You have a point there, and I guess we'll have to wait and see...would kinda suck if it wasn't eligble for the green sticker though. Maybe one of the larger dealers in your area could forward that question up the Yamaha food chain to get a definite answer.

All that's a bunch of bull... I bought my Banshee in FEb 99 and got a green sticker within 2 weeks. I have seen many YZ400 and YZ426 with green stickers as well. I know the Raptor will be legal. If they let that stupid looking big yellow zonker called bomberdier get green stickers why wouldn't they not let the Raptor have the green stickers as well?

I wonder if in California. Those tree huggers and other people I hate (I won't say who but heres a hint:There are lots in San Francisco and no its not Asians) have ruined Cali. I know BMW's arent allowed in California because of emmission standards.
