Best +1/+0 A-Arms for XC racing?
#1
I currently have Timmy Boy +2/+1 camber/caster adjustable a-arms and +2/+3 ITP wheels. This setup is a bit too wide for the XC racing and trail riding that I do, so I am looking for something narrower. I have 2 options - a narrower a-arm (+1) or wheels with less offset (+1/+4).
For the a-arms I want ones that are not forward from stock position and that use sealed ball joints rather than exposed heim joints. With all the mud and water I deal with I think the ball joints will be less maintenance intensive. Fully adjustable would be best, I think I can deal with just camber adjustable.
If I go with narrower offset wheels, my choice would be Douglas Shamrock Beadlocks.
Wheels would be cheaper, but which one would handle better for XC racing with lots of tight turns? Any opinions or personal experience with this topic could be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
