Hey guys this spring I think I'm going to pick up a dirt bike.
I'm trying to decide in between the Yamaha YZ250 and the CR250. I only want a 2-stroke. I don't want a 4-stroke.
Also i'm not sure I want to spend the money to go new do you think I can find one for around 2500 to 3000 grand that's in good shape?
Thanks for the info.

No No No my friend I would never give up my quads. I'm just wanting to add to my collection. I figured a motocross bike would be fun. And i'll have my tax return sailing my way soon. I haven't ridden bikes in years I kind of miss them.
I think i'm kind of leaning twards the honda.

I have raced MX pretty much my whole life!!!! To be honest, there really isnt a clear winner between the 2!! I ride ALL 4 strokes!!! But owned all 2 strokes till they came out!!! I really boils down to manufacturer preference!!! Cuz its not really gonna matter what bike you ride versus HOW you ride the bike!!!! As for the Honda being more reliable than the Yamaha, thats completely untrue!!!!!! Its honestly a toss up between the 2!!! The main thing I would say to you is that EITHER would be wonderful, cuz with MX bikes, they are pretty much so similar that it boils down to the RIDER!!!!!

Go used man, you'll save yourself thousands! I also prefer 4 stroke power. Here's something to think about: Buy a used Yamaha WR 250 or 426, throw some directionals on it, register it and bingo you now have a street legal dirtbike. Now you'll have all 3, a quad, a dirtbike and a streetbike.
