The front lowering kit moves the lower shock mount a couple inch's out towards the front tires that level the a-arms, thus lowering the front 4 inches, and making it 2 inches wider.

The best way to lower the rear of your Raptor is by flipping the rear shock linkage, which is free.

www.cfmracing.com = that is where I got my lowering kit and I paid $55 shipped to me.

The durablue kits mount on the top shock mount, and is sometimes a pain to install. The cfm kit is easy, and takes about 5 minutes to install.

Hell yes it's worth the money if you don't jump long distances or real high. The handeling is 100% better, and it keeps it from standing up on hill climbs or steep trails.

Yamaha4eva,

Check out this EBay deal on a front lowering kit. Go to www.ebay.com then in the search box put in this number - 2456622755. That should take you to the auction. Last I checked it was still at $1.00.

Good Luck,

RR1

Yamaha660R,

Is there a web site that has pictures of how to flip the rear shock mount?

Also, hown much air is too much on a Raptor lowered like yours? We have a 3 foot hill that we jump over.

Thanks
Don

when you put the lowering kit on it changes where all that force from a landing goes and if you hit a hard landing a few times youll crack your stock shock mounts.

There is the best site I have seen to explain the process.

Now about jumping...if you jump minor, like 2-3 foot off the ground you are fine. But if you jump high and far, don't lower it.
