well if you go here http://www.off-road.com/atv/reviews/...ator/test.html all the reviewers say how the predator is faster than a raptor and a stock predator can stay right with piped raptors. why must you yamaha guys continually bash every damn quad that is not a yamaha. it is the most annoying thing oh your predator sucks ill beat it with my $20,000 raptor. well i would hope so with all the money you put into it. have fun with what you ride and don't continually put people down on what atv's they choose. just because you have fast raptors does not mean there is a faster PREDATOR out there. you have to remember ther is always someone faster than you. just ride and have fun and try and cut down on the bashing it would really make these forums a lot better[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

Also raptor riders. Is the trans problem only a big problem on the 01 raptors?

 

sorry if i sounded defensive but im just trying to get rid of all this bashing it really is rediculous. and what makes the raptor king? you can put two random people on the samequad and whoever is the better rider would win a race. im not saying the raptor is bad but i really like the predator i have rode one and they are fast enough for me. in the three main catagories (dunes, trails, and mx) heres how i rate the raptor against the predator. dunes i give the edge to the raptor just because of the extra displacement and there are a lot more aftermarket acceseories for it. trails although both are excellent choices it really comes down to rider here especially in the tight stuff. mx the pred cause of the wider wheelbase and lower seat height. im not saying people cant have opinions but you gotta agree with all thes bashing posts that it really is stupid.just ride,have fun, and be safe[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

If you call my Raptor(listed below) beating a 04' Predator with the baffle out and 13tooth front sprocket by 9-10bike lenghts keeping up, then I don't know what you call a @$$ whoopin.

We let the DS's win last year at the June races cause we were being nice. LMAO. You believe that so it must have worked. LOL
There are about 6 to 8 fast DS's in the USA, only problem is the guys show up to play!! I have seen many of my big boned weight challenged friends on fast DS's. You guys would snap a rappy frame in 2.

 

I am really sick of people online talking about magazine shootouts. They all need to be taken with a grain of salt, that is, if they are not complete bs. Anyone else remember when the z400 came out and the mags were talking about how they could out drag the raptors??? The best experience is that you have had yourself, firsthand, either on the bike or watching it. Everything else is heresay.


Carlbadmuva - The raptors had tranny problems in 2001 only. The problem was fixed for 2002 and later years. Most 01 raptor riders have switched to the 02 box and have had no further problems. The predator had some problems with its 3rd gear in its first models, but that has been resolved for 2004.

 

14, you must have me confused with some one else. And as far as 4SW's goes......that was not about HP, but about the best, lightest RIDERS on well prepared, very light quads. Taking NO credit away from Sparks. It just seems as if YOU might need to take some notes from Sparks and try to win your OWN event!!!! LMAO Yeah...I am not the fastest DS, by far. But I can hold my own against your quads that have 3 times the money in the mods! Never even had the head off my "pig".

Don't go leaning on 4SW's......you yourself have said more than a few times that it didn't prove ANYTHING!!!! If Sparks built DS's, they would be winning!!!!! Everyone knows that!!!! C'mon Mark, your better than this!!! LMAO [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]
