My kids just told me that they were off tomorrow too, that's 4 days in a row from 5" of snow on Sunday. I have a home office and they are driving me freaking NUTS!!! Back when I was a kid in PA, we'd go to school in weather 10x worse than they cancel school for now. I remember the school bus had tire chains on all 4 back tires and carried bags of sand in case it got stuck. More than once I helped push our school bus out of a ditch when the back end slid off the road. I tell those stories to my kids and they look at me like I'm from outer space.

i live in howard county Maryland, and we got around 8 inches of snow i guess and weve been off now 4 days in a row, its great...also my pops lives right around York PA, anybody around there

I cant believe what pantywastes you all are about a little bit of snow! The Minneapolis area got 8-12". Outstate some places got 18-24". Right now its 10 degrees below zero with a windchill around 40 below. We have had NO school closings! And to top it off, grade schoolers still have MANDATORY outside recess everyday (at least at my daughters school).
Call you school board members and DEMAND they open. The administration just wants the days off so they get paid extra to make up the snow days at the end of the year. ITS YOUR SUMMER OF RIDING THEY ARE CUTTING SHORT WITH THESE SNOW DAYS! Get to school!

The punks that go to school here(i already graduated), got out all day monday, and got out 1/2 a day tuesday, and had a 2 hour delay this morning. The weather is just blistering cold here. Hasn't hit 30 since last week. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]
