Default How come honda builds lackluster motors?
Lets see by the charts YFZ wins two out of three. Yamaha still the winner!

I would like to see how they react to mods. Like pipe and jetted. I am sure the YFZ will walk away from that point on.

They are to close to claim that won is superior to other. I figure you could relize that by the charts.

I never brought up which is superior, just which one slightly pulled ahead. Don't look into things so hard, I divorced my EX-Wife for that.

LOL - if you are so knuckleheaded to rather have the peak HP # than consistanly more in every other part of the powerband, god help you, you should have a 100HP Banshee that makes 3HP at idle, 10HP at 9000, 100HP at 10k, and 10HP at 11k - that is the logic there.

Like I said, they are close enough stock for a person to pick their favorite color.

And I wouldn't doubt the Honda will welcome the new cam a lot better than the simple retardation of a single tooth on the YFZ cam. That has shown to increase peak but not necessarily anything on the bottom end, while the HRC cam will probably improve the Honda's performance all over the charts.
