Nice. Good to hear a comparison. I bet before long you'll hear some stories from the Predator Forum...Yeah, I took my ugly stock Predaturd and whooped a 450R with a HRC kit, full exhaust, jetted up with Nos by 10 to 20 bike lenghts, depending on if I shift out of first gear. LOL
kid... you use to be cool.. now all you can do is slam the pred... us polaris guys dont talk much ****.. its all you yamaha guys that do... and with some good reason.. yamaha makes nice quads.. but the predator isnt as bad as you all wish.. and that statement can be true as long as you put raptor in place of predator. you yamaha guys seem to have no common sense.

I'm happy with bluethunder's post....with those mods that rappy must have some nice acceleration. Did you get a chance to ride it bluethunder? I take it it didn't have much top end punch but good low-mid? I'd be happy with that. I'm getting more anxious about the acceleration difference between the yfz and trx now...maybe the trx will have the low TO mid and the yfz will have the mid TO top...

KGB's photo gallery has his new 450r in it and he's starting to mod it and widen it...check out his photo page!

A common misconception with the Raptor is gearing the quad down will not increase acceleration. Use the torque....the Raptors torque curve is impressive. Gear it back up and I guarantee you will gain lengths if you can ride and know when too shift.

12T and a 10 mph rolling start you had shift as soon as you started and that is what gave the 450 a better start. I'm glad to hear the 450r gets up and goes. Rider makes a big difference (size or LBS and ability to ride). My son wants one.

No I know what he is talking about, first of dude, your one of the coolest guys on the Forum, and a long time member, also helped me out in many occasions. Its just there are some polaris guys in the sport quad forum saying that piped predators are laying the beat down on built banshees, a 727 Raptor. Everything you throw at them they said theyve beat it either with a piped predator or a mildly modified one. You should take a look, itll show you what he is talking about.

I bet the rolling start helped the wheelie happy Raptor. A +4 fixes this design flaw.

lol, why even let it bother you Hozed.... If you know they're idiots. Just leave it at that. I admit that a stock or piped pred isn't going to beat a 686 rappy, or a built banshee, but Theres no reason a pred can't beat a stock, or even piped raptor. And for those of you that want to get ruffled feathers, you either haven't raced one, or you got it handed to you, and your too embarassed to admit the truth. I've owned both, and you guys can be in denial all you want. The Predator is a better machine from a stock standpoint.

Hozed, I'm not slamming Predators without reason. Goto the Sport Quad forum's, and check out the topic, Preditor vs. Raptor. Your Predator bud's in there are talking about stock Predator's beating 727 Raptors, piped Raptor's, and basically anything on 4 wheels regardless what it is. I have never had a problem with you Hozed, and don't really see a point in having one now.

If you remember, I gave the Predator it's prop's a month ago when I got to race it, and watch it compete. But some of the stuff posted in that topic would make anyone talk down about the Predator and what some of their owners think.

So just check that topic Hozed, and maybe you'll understand alittle bit better.

BTW...your Predator is mean!

Did I just say that?!?!?!

**And again, thanks for the comparison. With the several members with R's in the Honda forum, you think we would hear some reports sooner rather then later.
