i melted my piston on my banshee then when i took it apart it had a layer of brown crust on it anyone know what that brown stuff could be

ya i'd say carbon particles sometimes it can carbon foul your plugs

Ya my stock piston had alot of brown/black build up on it, nothing thats bad for it, seems normal.

Could be different colors of brown and black depending on what oil/gas combination you ran. I would really take a good look at your carbs before you take it out again, that piston burnt for a reason...

where was this brown crust located? was it under the rings? those could need replacing...
