I have had this bike for a month, and have about 12 hours on it. These things are way too top heavy, and the front end wants to come off the ground too much. I hate jammin up a dune, getting to the top, and the damn front end wants to launch to the moon. Yeah, I know that it takes time to get used to a bike, but I think that it has already put a bad taste in my mouth. It takes so much body english just to whip this thing around.

I rode a Banshee alot last year, and I really should have bought one. I have not been trail riding on this Raptor yet, but what I have done with it so far, hasn't really impressed me.

The bike needs to be wider, and lower. Everything else I am fine with. No, I do not have $2000.00 to lower, and widen this bike.



I really want to like this bike, but it is just wearin me down!

No quad is perfect for everyone. I say sell it. End of troubles.

 

thats why i went with a pred... stays on the ground.. and doesnt take much to put it where you want.

 

You could spend around 55-60 dollars and widen and lower it if you want to.

Their front lowering kit drops you 4" and makes you 2" wider in the front.

Flip the rear linkage when you put on the front kit and you are no longer standing up, and the top heavyness is also gone.

You just can't be jumping to the moon with the kit on it.

 

I think I am going to, and I really hate to do it!!

so u might just launch of the top of the dunes, a little air isnt bad!!!!!!if anyone has a reason to hate there raptor , it should be me. Bought my raptor back in june and i finally got yamaha to fix my brakes. it has been in the shop for 6 times and they finally put a new set of brakes on my raptor, that was after i got in a small wreck!!!! they kept telling me lame reasons on why brakes were going out. yamahah rep from cali came in and got me new set of brakes, he is scratching his head on the brakes also. new leaks at all were found! but i must say yamaha set me up, i got a free warrenty, new set of plastics, whites ones, i had blue so i have white and blue plastics with blue frame, new carbon fiber gyt-r full system pipe, i might have had no back brakes but i am good now!

They will rape me on the trade in. This is a month old 2004, red, and white bike, with only 12 hours on it. I paid cash for it in January, and would only accept a straight across trade for a new 04 banshee if I did it.
