New raptor clutch needed: Have questions
#1
Well I was at dumont this weekend, and the clutch was slipping really bad, it had a little too much oil so i took some out, and it is still slipping. When I went up hills, it would pull in 3rd, then I would change to 4th and the clutch would slip until about half way up the hill.
So I am going to be getting an aftermarket clutch, and springs.
I would like to know:
What are some good clutches that can hold up to alot of racing and abuse?
What are good springs (stiff) needed for the same abuse?
Are the aftermarket clutch baskets, presure plates, clutch boss worth getting?
Can I swap clutches without removing the engine from the frame? .... Will the case cover be able to sneak out.
Thanks.

The GYT-R kit isn't to bad and comes with stiffer springs. If you use it I would get and extra regular size fiber and eliminate the cushion spring.
If your going to get new baskets and the rest there is a set up out that use 6 springs instead of 5, that would be the way to go.
Yes you can change it without removing the engine.

There are two different sized fibers one is at the pressure plate and the other is at the cushion spring, if you eliminate the cushion spring you need to put a regular sized fiber in there instead of the odd sized one.
I've heard the cushoin spring is in there to keep the clutch assembly from chattering while it's disengaged. I think it might also be there to ensure disengagement so it dosen't cluck into gear.
