Default Good shocks and a-arms.....opinions please

I'm not looking for the best shocks and a-arms ( too pricey) I just want some good, strong quality ones that will last. Let me know any experiences you have with the many types. Still trying to make up my mind. Thanks.

I would try to buy some stock yfz shocks and get them to derizi for his upgrade......for about 200 for the shocks and about 300 for the upgrade you can have some shocks as good as any for 500 bux..........I would then look on ebay for the a arms....you can buy a set of them for 500 all day long......
that is what I just did...I can't wait to ride it and see how it performs.....

ASR +2+1 arms work great on my rappy. Still have stock shocks, but they are in the works.

you can get a kit from Alba with +2 a-arms, works shocks, and brake lines for under $1000. That is a proven setup. Not the best, but decent for the money. If you want to step up with the shocks you can get a great set of ELKA fronts for about $800, then some Amadillo a-arms for $480, and brake lines for $100 - that will give you an unbelievable front setup for ~ $13-1400. Roll Design arms and Elka or Custom Axis shocks will be over $2000. As will a Gibson front end. Good Luck with your decision.

I got the alba pro comp a-arms (549), extended brake lines (95) and tcs triple rate zero proload with rezzies(699) i got the a-arms just waiting for the shocks but it should be a sweet setup and not too expensive.

yeah...dont get asr...i got some of them and i was running elkas 3 rates with rezzies and i have a durablue axle that i had at the exact same width in the rear as my +2's in the front and i snapped a lower right a-arm from just dropping off a ledge, maybe 7-8 ft and they said it was because my rear axle wasnt at the right width...what kind of bs is that...

What I'm lookin at right now are the elka triple rate w/ self sag and burgard arms. Anybody have any opinions on these arms? I haven't heard much, but what I've heard is good.

Thats very odd. I have made many jumps, some a little longer than I planned them to be, and never had any problems. I have even been in a few Ice racing accidents with them colliding into other machines, and they held up great. I dont think asr has a bad reputation for quality. I have a durablue x33 rear axle on my rappy, and Its just about even with my a arms when fully extended. I can see how a shorter rear axle could possibly put extra stress on an a arm, but i would not think that it would break in such a minor case as you described. Anyway, sorry to hear about your experience, did the company offer any help or reinbursement?
