Default Need help choosing quad

Im looking into buying my first quad. I was really interested in the blaster because of the price. I dont really have a lot of money to spend right now just want something to ride. I dont want a race machine I just want something to ride the trails with and get a little dirty, It doesnt have to be the fastest quad I dont plan to run a strait line. I dont want something terribly slow though either! Im 6 foot and weigh 200 pounds. Am I to big for a blaster? I am really impressed with the banshee but its a little to much for me with the price tag and like I said I dont want to race this quad just needs to be reliable and durable for the trails and mud but it would also be nice to have a little speed. If any has any suggestions thanks in advance.

I'd shop around for a clean, used 400ex. More punch than a Warrior (although I really like the Warrior) and somewhat more modern. Only drawback is no reverse on the 400ex but you are big enough to move it around easily. Both are very reliable and proven which equals low maintenance (less costly to operate).

You said that you don't want a race quad....
You might want to look at a Bruin. They seem like a good value.

A warrior, or 400ex is what I think your looking for if you want a sport quad. Both are the meaning of reliability. The Ex is more "racey" in that it has more modern handling, and a faster motor, but no reverse. The warrior is an old school quad, that is torquey, but down on overall hp compared to the Ex, although it does have reverse. Both are "big" enough quads to be comfortable for a taller/larger rider. Just really depends what your looking for. If you want more of a race feel go for the Ex. If your looking for more of a trail rider, go for the warrior. Both are excellent quads(in there class), and should serve your needs fine. Good luck.
