guys heres my question i need some Honest answers:.... first off I WANT ONE.. but i was trying to hold out at least a year for the next model to have any updates if needed.. but i dont know if i can hold out.. heres what i was truely wondering... I keep hearing un-backed rumors that Yama going to push up the ccs to 450 in the upcoming years.. this is hard to belive cause MX rules say 440 is largest CC, has the rule changed? if not is Yamaha going to up the cc's just to meet the higher number of people who dont really race?.... Is there any planned mods or changes for the next year model that would be worth waitning for or should i just get one now...finaince one i mean... Well maybe no one knows the facts to answer my questions, but hit me with what you guys know!

I have heard the same engine rumors but i dont know if they are true, but i do know they did up the cc limit on mx thats why the honda 450r is actually a 450.

 

I've seen a post where they've already updated the swing-arm, made it a little stronger. If the cc limit isn't increased for MX I doubt that Yamaha would up it.

 

CC limit did go to 450.

 

Well then I would bet the YFZ will have the YZF top end on it soon.

 

Sounds like i better fight the urge and wait.. thanks guys.. this will motivate me for a couple months at least.. Man i want one though.. rode a friends last dune trip and they really take to huge air like a dream... did i say i sold a YZ250 to buy my DS... So i WAS a yama guy.... just took a break for a couple years....
