Help, raptor shifter question
#1
Hey guys, got some new boots and now my big foot(13) doesn't work well with the shifter. I am going to raise it, do I need to adjust the linkage or will it too go up when I adjust the petal up?

Back the bolt all the way out on the shaft part before the linkage and just turn it. The linkage is better for minor adjustments. It's a pain in the a$$ either way. I'm going to go direct one of these days.

Hoss,
You have to adjust the shifter by moving it one tooth on the input shaft. You won't get enough change by just adjusting the linkage. The linkage will go up on its own when you adjust the input shaft and you can then use the linkage for fine tuning.

Same thing happened to me when I got my new boots. I wear the same size boot and couldnt get enough adjustment out of the stock linkage, had to buy the direct shifter. You will like it better in the long wrong, no more neutral drops when shooting a hill.

Yes, the $29 shifters work just fine. Mine has functioned flawlessly for 1 year. There's getting to be more cheap versions out there too.

My Roll Design was rather cheap through my Yammy dealer. Not thirty bucks but not sixty either. I suggest going with a straight shifter. What kind of boots are your new ones? What were the old?
