Did you park it and leave it in reverse? Have you tried turning the reverse **** while trying to put it in 1st? I know your not suppose to have to but, just a thought. Jiggle the gear shifter by hand and pull it out towards you at the same time. If the shifter cam off the little bushing inside maybe you'll get lucky and it will go back on. It doesn't sound like a tranny problem to me. My guess would be inside the clutch case cover area around the shift star etc. Good luck.
