I don't know any of the details right now. He is in a San Diego hospital along with his family. I haven't been able to contact any of them since last night. I'll let you guys know exactly what happened when I find out...Thanks for all your prayers.

Man... It sucks hearing about injuries like this. I hope he has a speedy recovery and its not something too severe. Hes in our prayers and keep up updated on your friends condition.

I spoke to my friend who got into the accident. He's okay considering he broke 3 vertebrae and 6 ribs. He has some other bruises and stuff, but the the major stuff is what I mentioned above.

Apparently he was riding through the dunes with a friend, looked back to see if he was there and when he turned around again it was too late, he launched off the edge of the dune an went straight down 30-40ft. He said he landed on the front wheels which caused him to fly off the quad and land about 10ft in front of it, it was at that point the Shee landed on his back.

He's really lucky not to have any spinal cord injury, but he says the doctors say he might need surgery. So he'll be out for at least a year.
