I almost didn't post this but I thought with all the speculation about the different fuels and how they mix this would be a good article. It's good reading but It's kinda long.

Turbo fuel

Happy reading

BTW: I copied and pasted all of the pages from that into (1) file and made pdf out of it for simpler use. If someone wants to host it, I'll email it to you.

Lowbowtie:

Were you running any nitro in that methane you were running?

Anyone added nitro to gas? What % for 12.5:1 compression?

Just my 2 cents- I personally think gas is more consistant, I have tried a bunch of different typre of nitro that blends w/ Gas. It is good for about 5-7 lengths on the long hill @ 15-20% blend if dialed in right. IE- When running coxac nitro (undetectible Klotz) they say to jet up about 3 sizes for 20%, DONT TRY IT!! You must go up around 5-6 jet sizes at first to be safe. Nitro propane works good and so does propelyne oxide. The coxac Has mostly the same ingredients as the klotz nitro propane, but they dont list the ingredients for coxac for some reason, I wonder.LOL The stuff makes me dizzy when bike is running and I dont recomend breathing even the fumes from exahst.

I also found out that "fast forward" nitro is really only a oxygenater, And only helps a little, not that much.

For me, in my experiences, alky runs good when it wants to ( @ a certain temp) and doesnt take to good to a motor that has have exess piston wall clearance, And non advanced timing.

IM BACK, JUST READ IT ALL, AND I have to add, Ive searched HIgh and low, and this is some of the best info I have read, GOOD JOB and thanks LOWBOWTIE!!! Now I know why Im crazy and cant see too good anymore, I need to clear all this fuel out of my garage..

I did a search on google and searched through 20 pages of web site that came up with a nitromethane search and this was BY FAR the best site, bar none!

I have heard nitro and gas don't mix unless another chemical is used. I don't know if this is true or not, I wasn't worried about gas at the time. Prop ox can is used with gas with almost equal results to nitro and methanol, just from what I understand.
