You won't regret it i tell you that! Especially if you like power and speed and something that is low on maintennce and that is LIKE A ROCK BABY!
You better hang on tight because she will take off like a rocket and leave the pul asses in the dust and will tow them home when they are broken.
I have a 2000 stock and just love it. Rides beautiful and what a rush. These forums helped me decide on that best.

Wisconsin thats rough trails there is it not? Our trails are boulder infested , lots of mud holes and hills. I never even seen a Banshee,Ds or Ex and it would be hard to imagine one of the surviving long on these trails. Where do you put the coolers on them things anyways?

I went down to finish up the paperwork on the grizzly and instead of the 69 dollar special for the winch they were charging me 380 dollars, when i asked about it they said oh yeah, there is a special isnt there, but yamaha has to send them the winch, so all the paperwork is done i am going to get it home tommorrow, (no winch until it comes in) but i dont get my trailer until tuesday, bummer, so i have all weekend and it will just be sitting here in the garage because i live in town
How are the grizzlys for stuff like water crossing and mudding, do you have to be carefull how deep the water is or how fast you are going? I have heard some things about yamaha airboxes is it ok on the griz? I have never owned a yamaha of any kind,
How fast is it in comparison to a scrambler

The Grizz is quick for a 4x4 quad ,but it is NO match for a Scrambler. My Xplorer 400cc 4x4 will beat up on a Grizz pretty good to,but it is a 2 stroke quad to.Dont worry about the Grizz;s top end,its PLENTY fast.
Best of luck with the new Grizz====Bill

I have a 2000 Grizzly. The only time I have water problems is at speed on fire roads. I've been up over the headlights in rivers and mud holes with no problem. Hope this helps.
