Watch the race better, The only reason the honda is out front because the Yamaha was late and slow taking off also the Honda was about a half a bike out at the starting line. Looks to me the guy riding the yamaha either brainfarted or just didnt know how to ride. It was clear the yamaha was gaining and if the start was fair, it would have been totally different. But the Honda did not look slow by any means.

Allow me to rephrase:

If the YFZ is running paddles, he needs to consider running Skat-Trak haulers or extremes. I don't really care about the outcome we've been presented with. But if that fella on the YFZ want's to do better in the dunes, he needs tires that hook up and toss sand.

That is because the guys wife was recording it and did not record the very begining of the race, the Honda did not start out in front.

 

Honda has a name for reliability because they make very simple quads, no performance, all reliablility, they finally make something up too date and so far it seems like a decent bike... I doubt there famous reliability will still stay with that bike, but who knows... As for the race, the bikes are too close together performance wise, a winner can't be chosen simply because of rider flaws, etc...

I have raced several yzf 450 on my 450r. heads up stock with paddles i could win almost every time. I raced on flat ground at pismo and up comp at dumont.

 

just in case the yzf also had paddles.
