Depending on what pipe you buy, there should be instructions on which jets to use. Some companies will have you replace the needles and mains while others will just have you replace the mains. I wouldn't buy a jet kit until you get a pipe.

ohh ok thats good and intresting information so if the company has me replace the needles would that mean its a better pipe at all? also i know there are prob a zillion posts on this but what pipe is good for proformance i was thinking of getting the yoshimura full system--> do they include the jets?

Some times you could call the company and tell them your alltitude and air set up and they can get you close I know FMF will. As for the jet kit forget it, just get a few sizes that are around what you need it's cheaper.

Search the history and you will find a zillion posts on the best pipe. Most companies will give you a ball park jetting figure if you tell them what you are running and where you are at. Some even have a list on their website.
I don't know of any pipe companies that include jets. Telling you to replace the needles doe
sn't necessarily mean it's a better pipe.

Almost any pipe you'll get will be a better performer than stock, just read up on different pipes and see where their power is. Some will have it on the bottom end, others on top, and some are pretty even on both, like the Yosh. Just think about what you want to do with it and go from there. As for the jettting, talk to the tech guys from the company you'll be purchasing your exhaust from, they can give you some idea where to start.
