Not anymore some of their parts are built by the J.A. Pan company as well.
I used to love the Harly market but know it is just like any other bike in that you can walk into any dealership and see 10 of the same bikes. Unlike when you had to order one 2 years ahead of time.

Ther could be more wrong than you think. Have you looked at the gear, the collar thing that surrounds the bearing and the little rollers themselves. I had quite a few of those rollers in the bearing flattened out and the gears were just mangled. Have him pay to fix it right and everybodys happy.

Some people have had so so luck with the spring from the back of an oil seal too.. like an axle or drive shaft seal from a car. Its still temporary at best.

the flywheel should come off easier next time when he has to do it though!

While I was in there, I would replace that large idler gear going into the bearing. There has got to be a bunch of chatter marks on the bore that hooks into the bearing. It will really cause a bunch of debris to build up in the bearing rollers. Just replaced one with an L&A one way and was glad I spent the extra $ on the gear too. Dont necessarily want to tear into it a second time.
