Default Banshee & Rappy Pipes

I've been thinking about some new pipes, and until recently had been considering toomeys. the only thing is, they are very loud and cost a lot. in oregon, they're really strict about noise and the limit around here is 94db i think. is there any other pipe that puts out similar power or at least good power under 94db? I would go for the toomeys with the hush kit, but its kind of a waste because it costs a lot and it takes away power so why bother getting good pipes if i have to restrict them? what kind of hp gain should i expect from the new pipes? (average or model specific). also, i was wondering about the yoshimura kits for raptors. my dad is going to get a yosh pipe for his and theres a few models to choose from. ive heard them before and theyre kinda loud, i dont know if they comply with the 94db regulation, or how much power gain they would give. which is the best yosh pipe for recreational riding?

Toomeys are all over the Oregon Dunes, Don't even sweat it. Yoshi is pretty loud, but as long as you aren't making a fool of yourself in front of the cops, you will be okay.

are you sure about them being okay? i have some friends that ride at winchester bay and sand lake a lot who say they see people get busted and sometimes even get busted themselves for sound. the only thing i remember them saying is that they arent that strict about it except during certain times of the year where theres heavy traffic, such as labor day and other days that are very popular riding days.

I have friends that have been riding the dunes in Oregon for all of their lives. Their parents house is on the road to south jetty. They are all running Toomeys, CT, and FMF. We have had no problems whatsoever. I ride all of the major holidays, and have never had a problem, and neither have they. If you are being a dumbass, and get pulled over, they are gonna check you out.

I wouldn't worry about it. There are a lot with Toomey's that I guarantee don't "technically" make the limit along with a million loud 4-strokes. Just don't be dumb and you'll be fine.

Stuff like not having flag, being drunk, harassing people, tearing up stuff. I don't think you will get caught if you are trying to obey the rules.
