Default Raptor Rod

The stock bore raptor piston is about 3.94 inches. Thats almost a chevy 350 piston. Now I was wondering, my uncle has a lot of experience building race engines. He helped me install my cam and piston. He noticed the rod looks a lot like an auto rod. Would it be possible to use an auto rod to replace the stock raptor rod??? I havent gotten any specs on the journal or anything yet, but I figured I'd ask here anyway.

An auto rod won't work.

automobile rods bolt onto the crank and the crank is one piece, the raptor is a 2 piece crank and the rod is pressed onto it. I seriously doubt any auto rod would even come close to working.

I contacted a member here called CidNitro and he set me up. PM him and tell him I sent you.

How bad was your damage?

... are there any carillo rods that are longer than stock rods? The only things needed to do to replace the rod is pull out the crank, and pull it apart, put new rod in, and press the crank back together right?

I'm not sure if they have different lengths or not. The crank/rod/piston assembly needs to be rebalanced after replacing the rod also.

Damm! under 200 smack aroo's for a carillo rod is a great deal. My friend got mine for 200.

I heard the best of things about that rod. I'll see pretty soon the outcome when my bike gets out the shop.
