Default Paddle Tires

Alright, i know ive asked about them a lot but ive never quite gotten a complete answer so heres my question, and i need to figure this out because im going to get my paddles this weekend.

I have already decided that my dads rap will be fine with the skat trak edge's. but as for me i havent decided between haulers or extreme haulers. after i save up a little more dough im going to get toomey TR-6 pipes and an air filter kit. thats all the modding i see doing in the near future so i want to get the right paddles for when my shee is set up like that. i think the haulers would be better because the extremes are for more highly modded bikes, but i dont know how many paddles per tire i should get. some people have said 6 paddle and some have said 9 paddle. i know i would definitely need more like 8 or 9 paddles, 6 isnt nearly enough. anyway, i just want to make sure that im not going to end up with tires that are either not good enough and i lose power from unneccessary wheelspin like 6 paddle haulers and i dont want to end up with 10 paddle extremes that are gonna take tons of power to push.

Guess it really depends on what your going to be doing. Just casual riding or some dragracing or what ever. I have a raptor and have the usual bolt ons like pipe, k&n filter and crap like that . I have Extreme 10 paddles and they hook a little to good when I drag race. I personally am going to try and go down to a 9 paddle. Haulers or Extremes would do for you but would at least get 8 paddles

Same here, I have 10 paddle 20" extremes and its a little too much tire. I would have been better off with 9 paddles. The extremes are made for "extreme" conditions. I have heard of people with raptors and banshees tearing through a set of haulers in one season. That said, most of these people are putting their machines through constant use and racing. You would be fine with the haulers, but IMO, the extra insurance of the extremes was worth it to me.

I have had my Extremes for two years now and I think maybe 4 or 5 trips to the dunes and they still look brand new. The parking lot at Silver Lake is a mix of black top and dirt and my tires have held up good.

alright, heres what im thinking

Raptor -

Skat-Trak Edge's 21-12-9 9 paddles on douglas blue label

Banshee -

Skat-Trak Extreme Haulers 21-12-9 9 paddles on douglas blue label

does that sound okay? is it going to be too much to push with the bikes or too little? i need to know fast because my dad wants to call the dealer about it tomorrow and make sure he has them.

what is the difference between the haulers and extreme haulers?

The extreme haulers are just haulers with a 1/8th inch thicker design to hold up better to high hp and more abuse.

well then i think ill just go for the regular haulers unless theyre only like 20 bucks more (total). i dont ride often enough to go through a set of paddles in a year, i only go maybe 3 or 4 times a year (gradually increasing). do you think the tire size is okay? 12 inches is a little wide but i think it will be okay, right? and 9 paddles isnt too much and its not too little, am i right? just a little verification that im not making some big mistake is all i need. thanks.

You are not going to need anymore than 8 paddles.
