I got a TTR 250 Yamaha 4 stroke bike and actually the drain plug fell out and i ran it for about 20 mins without oil.
At home i replaced the oil twice. When it runs the header gets blistering hot fast even in day light.
It seems it runs better with the choke a little on.
I always shut it off about after idle because it looks like its gonna melt the pipe.
Any help???

Yea, but a little oranger ( Hotter).
It didn't use to do this.

 

That was my pipe about 45 secs after being started. About 5 mins after it being started the header part was orange, but after i put my aftermarket pipe on it, it doesnt turn orange.

 

try giving it a little richer air/fuel mix. ...like you said, it gets cooler with the choke on.

 

Would ya happen to know the way i turn the screw for that?
Sorry no manual.

The dealer said thats normal but i never new i had a built in flash light or cigarett ligher.
