Raptor won't move
#1
I was out back on the track recently with my 01 raptor when I stopped then went to take off and it seemed sluggish and bogged down, I figgured it was the mud, stopped backed up took another run at it same thing, It smelled almost like a burnt clutch with alittle smoke comming up from engine, again I figured it was just the water and mud. Then I went to take off and it bogged down and then reved up. I don't remember hearing anything snap and there is no grinding noises. I loaded it into the tractor and took it to the shed, cleaned it up. When I pull the clutch in and shift the rear tires "click in and move" like normal shifting into gear when stopped. However When I release the clutch she just sits there and and doesn't move, Again there are no grinding noises or anything like that, If it was the clutch wouldn't it be locked in gear?? Or is it the tranny, I haven't beatn' the quad just normal riding around in the pit, and track out back. The local shop wants $450 TO JUST LOOK AT IT!!!!! I haven't split the cases yet, and if I knew what the problem was or was pointed in the right direction I could fix it in my own garage. Anyone have any ideas?????? Or is it the TRANNY DEMON?????
Thanks
