Boring .060 over with wiseco piston?
#1
Does putting in a wiseco piston and boring it .060 over make a real difference in power for the blaster? If so, how much would it cost total to have it bored out and to buy the piston? One last thing, what changes to my carb would i have to make if i did this? I know you cant just rejet with a mod like this.

Daredevil1, I think the overbore takes care of cylinder cleanup; while marginal displacment increase results, hopup is not its primary purpose. The piston design (compression ratio, port timing geometry, etc.) may affect performance, but I think the primary purpose of the overbore is to provide good ring-seating surface on the cylinder wall.

my blaster was bored out .060 over. That is pushing close to 205cc. I haven't rode a stock one enough to compare. But i know i had to boost my power a little.
I raced a RCR/HPD/EPI modded trailblazer, and i ran over him with my Blaster! When i had my RCR Trailblazer I could beat piped blasters no problem.

Boring 60 over is going to do very little for an increase in power. one has to remeber the only way you get more power is by being able to burn more fuel, and i don't think 60 over is going to be more than a size or two bigger on the main at the most. Save all of those bores for maintenance, if you are looking for more power get some porting done or go with a real big bore.
