1993 yamaha 400 kodiac

just wondering if anyone can tell me if this atv is a good reliable bike to buy. It is used but it fits my budget. any response will be greatly appreciated.

That's the first year of the Kodiak. If the previous owner(s) did regular oil and oil/air filter changes the engine should be fine. Things I would look out for are worn out bearings and seals and the front CV joints. I'd also check to see if the auto-clutch might be slipping.

I actually just sold my 93 about 1 year ago. I had alot of fun with the old girl. It was insane how tough it was. It had a top speed of 70km/h. Reverse was geared very low. It was a little nose heavy and the turning radius was poor. But that was my only complaint. The limited slip front diff worked pretty good. Over all I like the atv alot. Like The Avenger said just look for the regular wear and tear signs. If there is something I missed please let me know.
