I was just wondering what it means to raise the needle on a warrior? I have heard people say they have raised theirs and was just wondering how, when, and why to do this. Thanks

Raising the needle refers to richening up the mid-range fuel mixture of the carburetor. this is usually only required when accompanied by engine modifications. The carb's top has to be partially disassembled and the slide removed to access the jet needle. Then, you readjust the clip position (out of 5 possibilities). In this instance, you would place the clip in a lower position on the needle to raise it and thus allow more fuel to flow by the tapered portion of the needle. Hope this is helpful.
