Banshee swing arm extension
#1
I want to go only a 2 inch extension. What will I have to do to my rear shock. I'm a 200 pounder and I like to jump. What do you think about those $175 swing arms on ebay. They don't look very reinforced.

I wouldn't recommend doing any jumping on a extension. Your best bet would be to get a new swingarm. Your rear shock will be ok on a +2 but it will wear faster then it did before.
JTM makes extensions but i believe they are only 4.5''

Out of curiousity, if you like to jump why are you extending the swingarm? Extending the swingarm is great for drag launches and hill climbs, but not good for jumping. It shift the center of gravity forward on an already nose heavy quad. I went -2 on my swingarm (and +1 forward on the arms) and love how it jumps now, very balanced. With your weight you probably balance it out so you may not notice the forward weight bias, but you will with an extended swingarm. I'd stay stock. If you have money you dont know what to do with, there are much better mods for your money.

At the dunes with the existing mods the front end stands up, that's why I'd go +2" max. A -2" is purely for the track. Also, in the dirt my XRT ITPs almost rub the rear fenders.
Thanks for the input. I think I'll be able to fly on with the +2 just as well.
