Take the rear suspension linkage, the thing that the shock bolts to on the bottom, and flip it. It will lower the rear end and is still reliable.

If you are looking for a new air box CFM makes a great box. It is only 135 or so. They do a great job on the welding.

By the why the lowering kits have been on Ebay for under 50 for the complete set. That way you can adjust the ride height of the rear axle.

LOL, I'd like to see a strut that controls the height of the rear axle....Hint, only different tires determine how far off the ground your rear axle is....

I think you mean that it controls the ride height. That means how high the rear suspension allows the seat to ride. It simply drops the shock mount down and away from the front of the machine. These are fine, but if you want to spend money to do this, get an adjustable one so you can make it what feels comfortable for you.

Unless you are going to do some major engine work, you don't need a full exhaust. A slip-on will do. Same with the air box. For trail riding (dust, mud etc) I would reccomend a foam filter instead of a K & N. K & N is great for sand, but even with an outer wear, more small particles get through than with a good foam filter. Making it more stable is important. You can use wheel spacers, lower it or buy extended a-arms and axle but with the a-arms you will have to buy after market shocks or the warenty will most likely be void. Pretty expensive if you are on a budget. If you are planning on doing some serious jumping I would go with the extended a-arms and axle. A cheap way to increase power is to remove the airbox lid but with the increase in air flow you will definately have to re-jet. I highly reccomend nerf bars. Bouncing around on rocks and roots in the rain or mud, your feet can slip off the pegs. Running over your foot is a bad thing.

Disclaimer - I'm not an expert and this is just my opinion.
