Default 87 Banshee?

My buddy is thinking about buying a 87 Banshee, which he heard the guy put a 01 motor in it, is there anything really different about an 87 compared to the newer ones besides the j-arm? is theres anything wrong with the j-arms?

my J-arms have never let me down. I guess I hear that the double a-arm setup is smoother, but Ive never felt it. The 87 also may have the old carrier setup which is bloody stupid and it loosens up if you dont have it SUPER tight. Other than that, the 87 wont have a key and thats about the only difference. If the price is right, buy it.

J arms are supposedly better for dragging, because they are a little lighter.
