Hi stir, I have a bruin and have no trouble with the 4x4 light flickering. You might have a loose conection. Your still under warranty see your dealer. I would also mention the loud noise. I don't have a tack on mine, so I don't know what rpms I am at, but I don't think that it is unusally loud. I have in the past had manual transmissions and automantics. The automantics have been louder then the manuals, I guess that it has something to do with the belt in the auto's. Maybe someone else on this forum can give you better information then I can. I hope that everything turns out for you.lol

Hello I have a 02 Kodiak and at around those speeds mine seems to rev loud as well. I don't have a tach so I can't tell you exactly my rpm but I'm guessing its around 5000. I still would have it checked just incase. Hate to see you ruin something. They are likely going to tell you that its the nature of the beast.

I have an 04 Bruin 350 and when the light flickers, it means it is trying to engage into 4x4 mode but if you slow down, it wont flicker. If you go fast, it makes it hard because the gears are spinning and arent matching up. its like revving up the engine and putting it in gear- it just makes a grinding noise like its trying. Its the same thing. if your turning, it also does it. try not to give it gas or let the tires pull the engine when you engage it in 4x4 mode. Also welcome Stir. Im new here
