Did anybody ever get this from yamaha?

We have got nothing regarding this issue either. It's really swell that Yamaha sends it's customers letters before letting the dealer in on it so he can be prepared with parts and open spots on the service schedule.
Yamaha has had a BIG problem in the last 2 weeks. They have recalled over 40,000 transmissions in 2003 and 2004 RoadStars and 1700 Warriors. If that wasn't bad enough, they say the dealer will get paid for 4 hours labor to perform the recall.
The engine must be removed from the frame and disassembled. The standard labor rate for engine removal and installation is 7 hours......not including engine teardown.
All but 4 dealers in my state, including us, are filing lawsuits against Yamaha and refuseing to fix any of these models except for those that have already been sold.
This will be in every motorcycle industry related magazine by next month's issues......this is going to open a BIG can of worms that's going to hurt Yamaha in both dealer relations and customer relations.
