Default URGENT: Raptor Carb cover

Ok, well if you read my post about the stripped screw, that is now out and taken care of. My dad decided to help me out and get it out for me. However, in the process he busted a hole in the black cover that goes on top of the carbs. He busted the right one. I went to my local dealer and they said it can not be purchased seperatly, only witht he carb. I was like WTF?!?!?! Any ways, I am gonna call around and see if that story changes at all, but if it doesn't what do I do? Does anyone on here that has upgraded their carbs have their stock ones and might be willing to help me out? It is just one thing after another. If anoyone knows where or how to get this cover, please let me know. I would realy really appreciate it. Again, it is the cover on the right carb that holds the spring for the slide and needle and all that. BTW, what exactly is it's purpose? Thank you for any help.

I went to both sites, and you can't order just the cover. Unless I am misreading the site. It looks the same as what my dealer was looking at. #15 looks like it is pointing to the part I need, but when you scroll down, it says it's the whole right carb asssembly for $300+. That is not what I need. Any other suggestions. This really sucks.

impact driver method didnt work eh?

Your gonna have a hard time locating that cover by itself. JB weld will fix it right up, fixed my brothers quad right up (wolverine) when he did the same thing (5 years ago)

What exactly does this cover do besides hold that spring? The hole isn't too bad, so I might be able to fix it with JB weld, but I would rather find a new one if possible. I am looking on e-bay, but so far I have only found the complete carb setup, which I have bid on and am watching intently. I will call around to all my dealers and see if they have one lying around. Where are some sites that sell used parts? I called a slavage shop, but they said they don't have a thing for a Raptor. Will JB weld really work on this cover though? It's not metal, just a hard plastic. Any more info ia appreciated as always.

Any type of epoxy that hardens should do the job. I had a hole in mine and used automotive body filler. The cover holds proper pressure on the slide vie a spring + maintains vacuum that makes the slide go up and down.
